Navratri (nine) colours – 2014

Navratri (Nav-Ratri) – (Nine night jagran with Devi naam-japa).
in this 9 days (Pratipada, Dwitiya, Tritiya, Chaturthi, Panchami, Shasti, Saptami, Ashtami and Navami, [& Dashmi (i.e., known as a Vijaya Dashmi-Dussera)])
During Nine Ratri’ Maa Devi wear Nine different colour’s saree.
You will find many web sites and blogs has wrong information and confustion about the colours for Nine days of navratri. I had found this information in leading newspaper and i would like to publish here for all of you.

• Navratri Day 1 – September 25, 2014 – Ghatsthapana – Yellow
• Navratri Day 2 – September 26, 2014 – Chandra Darshan – Green
• Navratri Day 3 – September 27, 2014 – Sindoor Tritiya – Grey
• Navratri Day 4 – September 28, 2014 – Chaturthi – Orange
• Navratri Day 5 – September 29, 2014 – Upang Lalita Vrat – White
• Navratri Day 6 – September 30, 2014 – Saraswati Awahan in some regions – Red
• Navratri Day 7 – October 01, 2014 – Saraswati Pooja – Maha Lakshmi Pooja – Royal Blue
• Navratri Day 8 – October 02, 2014 – Saraswati Pooja ends – Mahashtami – Annapurna Parikrama – Pink
• Navratri Day 9 – October 03, 2014 – Saraswati Visarjan – Maha Navami – Purple
